Ten Fuel-saving Tips For Excavators You Need To Know
In this article, let's share the ten fuel-saving techniques of the excavator.
In this article, let's share the ten fuel-saving techniques of the excavator.

Ten Fuel-saving Tips For Excavators You Need To Know

1. Try to avoid invalid operations
The oil consumed by the invalid action is 100% wasted. The construction method should be designed according to the construction site. Don't do unnecessary rotation. The soil in front should be removed as much as possible during loading. Try to avoid rotating to the back door to remove dirt. The height of the excavator should be appropriate. Do not dig the soil repeatedly.

2. Avoid engine idling
Even in the idling state, there is still oil circulating in the hydraulic pump(K3V63DTP hydraulic main pump), consuming fuel. Suppose a 20-ton excavator is idle for 1 hour during 10 hours of work, then about 20 litres of fuel is wasted every day!

3. Avoid heavy load pressure
When the excavated sand or rock is overloaded, the excavator will break in the form of a pressure drop. Assuming a 6-minute drop in 10 hours of work a day, if you can avoid pressure drops, you can save about 840 liters of diesel per year. Therefore, in the operation process, the problem that the electric shovel can not be handled, do not worry, can be divided into two kinds of processing, otherwise it will consume equipment and fuel consumption, because the loss is small.

4. Reduce engine speed
Putting the engine throttle in an economical position, although reducing the engine speed will affect the workload, it can significantly reduce fuel consumption and improve fuel efficiency.

5. Reduce the angle of rotation
Reducing the hovering angle of the dump truck can shorten the working period and increase the workload during the working hours of the unit, thereby improving fuel consumption efficiency. This is also the most useful way to save fuel.

6. Reduce engine speed while walking
The faster the engine speed, the more fuel is consumed while walking.

7. High level excavation
The excavator work platform is most effective at the same height or slightly above the truck.

8. Reasonable control of mining angle
When the bucket cylinder and the connecting rod, the stick cylinder and the stick are both 90 degrees, each cylinder pushes the excavator to the maximum. When digging, do not extend the stick to the maximum range, starting at approximately 80%.

9. Reasonable control of bucket range
The arm is controlled from a distal 45 degree angle to an inner 30 degree angle. This varies slightly depending on the depth of the excavation, but the boom and bucket should operate within this range and should not be operated to the end of the cylinder stroke.

10. Reasonable arrangement of mining sequence
When digging trenches, first dig the ditch and then dig the middle. This can save a lot of things when you dig in the middle but also save energy.
